If a nuclear bomb goes off in Wichita Falls, nothing will be left but cockroaches and Maximus. Other clubs come and go, Maximus lives on for better or worse. It's been around for years. I made my first visit probably 20 years ago and it had been there for awhile at that point. It's in an area of town that doesn't allow any new clubs like it now, but Maximus is "grandfathered" in.

I would have to agree that most of the dancers are smoking hot, but stuck up. There are exceptions, but most dancers go on stage and expect tips, then look at you like your slime when they are on the floor.

Still five dollars to get in, and drinks are about average. If you can find a dancer to give a private dance, I think it's $25 and you have a someone working for the club watching the whole time, which is just weird.
