The Gold Club renovations look to be complete. Physically, this has become a very nice club. The inside was very upscale with rolling chairs, plenty of tables, and a horseshoe bar in the back of the establishment. There are two stages: a large main stage with a pole and a small secondary stage with a spinning pole. The cover charge is $19, but that includes your first two beers. No liquor is served, but you can bring your own in. Waitresses were irksome; it was like they wanted you to get a DUI on the way home. The DJ was annoying; he must have really liked the sound of his own voice. The music is mostly rock and pop, which is fine, but it was being played too loud. Thug factor was present but not too bad; however, the night before there was a shooting in the parking lot. Bathrooms were newer but could use some touch-up throughout the shift. The club was very smoky.

The quality of dancers was very good. The dancers were typically white and in their twenties. There was a token Hispanic dancer and black dancer. Stage contact is almost nonexistent. Most girls will let you put greenbacks in their g-strings, but very few would give Stevies or grope you. The joint seemed a little on edge of LE. Many girls have regulars they sit with for long periods, so you need to approach the top-tier entertainers. Lap dances are $40 apiece and a horrible value for song length. Some girls act like they are God’s gift to humanity and try to hold to the quoted price, while others are smart and will negotiate a cheaper rate. However, virtually all of the patrons wait until the semi-frequent 2-for-1 deals (perhaps hourly). The 2-for-1’s also include a prize: a Gold Club shirt or mug. I noticed some girls were charging $40 for the 2-for-1 prize dance while others were charging $50. I think the girls have to pay the house $10 for the souvenir itself, and some were trying to pass on that fee to the patrons. Personally, I’d try to find a dancer offering at $40 rather than $50. Private dances took place in cubbyholes that anyone on the main floor could see into. Contact was fair two-way. The ubercreepy guys like to sit at tables just outside the cubbies and watch other guys get dances. Most of the dancers are friendly, but avoid the ROB with the stage name of Honey. She has very large fake breasts, fake tan, and long blonde hair. She stole money from me. Overall, this is a good-looking club with good-looking girls, but the value is not so good. It is only worth a stop if you are in town.
