Little Darlings was the first club...
Little Darlings was the first club I visited regularly in San Diego beginning a few years ago. Things have changed, and none for the better. The company-wide new Deja Vu rule that requires patrons to pay the machine themselves for laps ($20/dance, discounted to 3-for-2 or 2-for-1 during "blue-light" specials) is a lose-lose. The intention, I believe was to stop the hustling for up-sold "dirtier" dances, with the drawback being that patrons have to physically get up off the couch between dances to pay for more. Well, the dancers at this club are now still trying to up-sell before you can even get your $20 in the machine.
Another thing I have noticed that is unique to this club is that the dancers disappear after being on stage and making their rounds for tips. Instead of even being merely within view, where patrons can get an idea of the selection, 80% of the dancers hangout out in the locker room or an outside break area rather than engaging the customers in conversation. Totall opposite of Cheetahs. The dancers here do generally have a good attitude, though.
The quality is highly variable. They have a few regulars that are expired and haggard, but the rest fluctuate and you never know what you're going to get. Particularly in summer, there seem to be a lot of out of town visitors.
