I went to Temptations around 8:30 on a Wednesday. I had not been here in maybe two or three years. There was no cover but a one drink minimum. Beers were $7 if I remember correctly. The bartender was very slow. The club has a main stage in the middle of the room and a small stage at the front window. A shade is draped over the window so the dancer’s silhouette can be seen on the street to woo in more customers. The inside has a very Victorian feel to it with two chandeliers and black walls. Don’t quote me on this, but I think this building was the Bourbon Burlesque Club back in the day and the inside is still reminiscent of that use of the building. The crowd was mixed and cheap. A stage set for a dancer netted less than $10. The DJ kept complaining that guys weren’t tipping, but the lack of stage tipping was due to the quality of the product.
The dancer quality was mediocre to bad here. There were six dancers on duty. The two best-looking dancers were brunette 7’s and cousins as well: Storm and Brooke. Storm has a good handful up top and a nice ass, but her grind was uninspired. Brooke has a great ass and less than a handful up top but gave a harder grind. Dances take place in the old slave quarters accessed by walking through the courtyard. The dances are $40 or three for $100. They are rip-offs for what you get, just a grind and some two-way contact to short songs. But then again, pretty much all strip clubs on Bourbon are rip-offs. The attitudes of the dancers are very poor here. They’d either be the “wanna dance?†types or the “leech†types that don’t get the message you are not into them. This place was a disappointment.
