I stopped by Babe’s late afternoon...
I stopped by Babe’s late afternoon on Lundi Gras to escape the Bourbon Street hordes. This is one of the early-opening clubs on Bourbon Street. There was no cover but a one drink minimum. This set me back $6.75, which is about the going rate for a drink on Bourbon. The interior appeared the same as my September visit. The stage is fairly large with a pole and a large mirror behind it. The music was hip hop.
They only had two girls working, neither of which were my type: a 30ish blonde with a ghetto booty and an early 20’s, skinny black girl. I would have thought there would have been more variety available considering the number of people on the street. I spent most of the time looking at two smoking-hot blondes that were in the club with their boyfriends. It looks like management still watches you when you get a lap dance. A bouncer or manager sits at one of the tables in the rear of the club near the lap dance booths. After finishing me beverage, I cut my losses and bailed. I think my visit was bad because it was early. Based on this visit and a previous stop at this club six months prior, I’d say don’t hit this club up until the evening when the night shift gets going.
