I came in late in the evening to the place - it was a little site on a street near the canal in Galway, not that easy to spot but called to my attention by some people handing out flyers on one of the busier ways. Being there from the states I figured I'd see what an 10Irish club was like. Cover was 10 euro, so I paid that and went in. It's narrow and deep - like most establishments there it's smaller rooms carved out of a very old building rather than anything more purpose-built as a club. So the bar you come in from doesn't have much view of the stage area beyond it, but they helpfully have some TVs so you can see what's going on back there while you're at the bar. Past the stage you have the way to the lap dance area, which is spacious with some nice big leather seating, but has a few separate alcoves so it's a bit private as long as it's not crowded.

Which is the problem - I came in and had plenty of privacy, since it was just me, three dancers, a bartender, and a wall of a doorman. All of them from Eastern Europe somewhere, though I couldn't name the exact country. The dancers were friendly, and pretty enough, though they do press the gimmick of asking you to buy a girl a (very expensive) drink. On the up side, the regular beer wasn't that badly priced for Galway. No stage dances with no audience, it seems, so I can't comment on their quality. After a drink I went and got a dance from the girl that most caught my eye, not that any of them were bad. They start at 20 euro, going more for longer dances, for full nude, or for lesbian shows from what they said. I got the full nude, but the down side of it all was no touching at all, hands firmly down and to the sides. It wasn't bad for what it was, but I'm used to at least some contact. Soon enough, I was on my way as it was getting late and it's awkward being the only customer in the place.

At the end of the day it was an interesting experience, but if I found myself in Galway again the only way I'd go in is if I knew the place was a good bit busier so I could enjoy some stage shows and drinking rather than having the place to myself. If I wanted to do more than just watch a girl in Ireland, there it's legal to hire a call girl for the job anyway.
