This was my first visit to a strip club in LA, and it was about a year ago (Feb 2010). My basis for comparison is clubs I've been to in the Southeast US, mostly North Carolina. Bare Elegance LAX was good, but not great. To be fair, we were there kind of early, and --I thought this was funny-- one of the girls themselves told us that we came too early to see the hot girls. That said, there were definitely some very attractive girls there, and some great dancers too. The ambiance was quite nice. Not extremely classy, but definitely not trashy either. Very clean. Comfortable, loungy chairs, and nice semi-private boots for dances. Music was a little louder than it needed to be, but the dj was good, and didn't seem to be cutting off songs. I don't remember specifically the costs, but they were about in line with what I expected for the entry fee and drink prices, and a little higher than I expected for dances. Thug factor was low, but the club was almost empty --my group of 6 made up half of the clientele-- so I don't know if that's a good read.

We were there in a group, half of us female, and they definitely got a lot of positive attention from the dancers. Attitude wise, the dancers and staff were great; not pushy, approachable, very happy to explain things. The dancers were mostly white with eastern european accents, one was black and it turns out a local, and one asian. Most had typical stripper bodies (tall, thin, big boobs) but there was some nice variation as well. A couple were 9's, a few were 5's, most were 7s. I got two private dances, both of them with my date. One disappointing thing was that they charge double if you're getting a couples' dance; I don't know if that's standard around these parts. But I didn't expect it and wasn't told until afterward. The two lapdances were great; moderate-low amount of mileage, but I didn't really expect much in a couple's dance, and the layout of the booth didn't allow much anyway; very hot nonetheless. Dancers were very attentive and responsive, picked up on cues from me and my date. My one complaint is that the tiny semi-private booths (blocked off by a curtain from the rest of the area) are a bit too small for couples dances. My date had to sit on my lap, and even then it was a very tight fit.

I wouldn't mind going back, but I've heard the dancer my gf and I really liked isn't there anymore, and I'm hoping I'll find a club in LA I like better. Looking forward to checking out 4play this weekend.
