I decided to give Players a shot since it is hard for me to get to clubs in the evenings when the hottest dancers are working because I work nights and Players advertises as the hottest day shift in Denver. Boy, they were NOT lying!

First the club itself; Based on the exterior of the building, I would have guessed Players was much bigger on the inside than it actually is. Cramped is definitely the word to describe this club. The ceilings are low, the tables and chairs are all small and crowded together and the black paint scheme makes it feel even smaller. I am a big guy, however, and I am sure the shorter, slimmer guys may not feel as wedged in as I did. The bar area was an exception, as it felt a bit more open than the rest of the club. My bottle beer was about $6. There was also a free lunch buffet from 11am to 3pm but I did not partake since when I arrived at 2:30 it was pretty well demolished. Everything seemed very clean, including the bathroom.

The club has three stages, all basically at floor level with a rail around them so the girls can get up close to dance and take tips. If you are used to raised stages it can seem strange at first. I found I actually liked it because the mirrored sides of the dance area actually let you see more of the dancer at once than you would on a raised stage. While I was there all three stages were in constant use with one having 2 girls dancing, so a total of four girls on stage at any given time. This was at 2:30 in the afternoon!

The private dance area was a disappointment. It is a very small room with some divided seating. The seats however are SO TINY. I was uncomfortably stuffed into the tiny little cubby of a seat. There is also essentially no privacy as all but the very farthest seat from the door has an eye line from out in the club. On the plus side, the bouncer did not poke his head back in the private area the whole time I was there.
