I've had bad experiences before at this place but it seems to get so many good reviews on this web site that I thought I'd give it another chance. But my original opinion still stands...I won't go back. I will say that the place has its good points; the decor is fairly upscale and nice, there were a lot of dancers there, they were friendly, and some of them were quite attractive...but that's the extent of the favorable comments. The place gets crowded and the tables are packed very close together, so there's no privacy...everyone is sitting close together staring at each other. They charged $6.50 for my Jack and Ginger Ale.
But the most disappointing part is the so-called "VIP section"...it's just one big square room, totally lit up (maybe even brighter than the rest of the bar !!), with lots of couches (maybe 7 - 10) lined up along the walls, all directly facing each other. No privacy whatsoever. The first time I went back there, the girl never told me in advance how much it would cost, said we could "talk about it" once we got there. We sat down and started talking about how much it would cost and what would be included. Basically she wanted $20/dance ("plus tips") and that didn't appear to include any extras beyond what you could get at the bar...she just said something vague about "it gets better with each dance", meaning that she wants to make you pay a lot of money before you even know if you're going to get anything. So I politely declined any dances and walked out of the VIP room, back to the bar. Then the girl starts to tell me I have to pay for at least one dance just for having entered the VIP, even though she never told me this before, and even though we never did anything but sit there and talk for a couple of minutes. I declined to pay. Next thing I know, some guy is tapping me on the shoulder, saying I have to leave and when I ask him why he says because "one of the girls complained". Unbelievable. Keep in mind that I'm a quiet, polite professional person, not even drunk, don't use profane or insulting language, and I never touched the girl.
So after reading numerous good reviews on this site, I decided to give the place another try a few months later. But my second visit wasn't much better. This time I knew to ask the VIP price in advance, and the girl (who was quite attractive, beautiful curves) told me $20 per dance "plus tips". I decided to go for at least one dance just to see what it was like. We go back to the VIP and the place is totally crowded. I told her there was no privacy and she said that everyone was just leaving, which was true...it emptied out. But as we're waiting for the next complete song to begin, three to five more couples come pouring into the room, and as I said the couches are all facing each other and there's plenty of light. No privacy in the least. I had decided in advance to go through with one dance anyway, and it was pretty decent but nothing at all more than what you could get at the bar for five bucks (I paid her $25 for this ONE VIP dance). I left after that and decided not to go back. I can't explain the other reviews but if you prefer a VIP room with some privacy this place will not fill the bill. Clearly they're doing something right because I should say that the place is popular and gets crowded, but this VIP room is just not my cup of tea.
