As mentioned in the previous reviews, if you live in DC-North Virginia area, West Virginia clubs is the only viable option for a full club experience (Virginia - pasties, DC no LD). That was our second visit to West Virginia clubs (see my review of Taboo club) and we reading positive review on this site, we have decided to try out Vixens.

First, an advice for NOVA-DC goers – take i-66 all the way to i-81. I-81 will take it you to all on-the-border clubs (Bunker Hill. Martinsburg). My wife and I arrived to Vixens around 10:30 pm on Saturday. It is located along the road where almost all other clubs are. So there is a possibility for club hoping. Vixens parking lot was jam-packed with cars, which surprised us, the club did not seem that big to handle all the people. Interestingly, many guys were coming in with their gfs/wives. Sure enough, the club was packed to capacity, which was atmosphere killer for us – almost no personal attention from dancers, no place to sit and take the evening in. The cover was $10 each. The Dj was annoyingly loud and extremely incoherent between songs selection – going from pop to metal. The music was unpleasantly loud. We did not get any drinks at the bar. The bathrooms were semi-clean (cigarette buds in the sink, as my wife had reported). They had $2 coat check, but you have to remember the number that your coat is on. There is ATM on site, but $5 charge on transactions. The bouncers were everywhere and not friendly, hustling guests up-front.

Upon arrival, we were approached by one of the dancers and she sweet-talked (we felt a bit hustled) us into shower show – one of the unique features that are advertised on the web site. I have been to one of these shows in San Francisco club and that was really hot show with dildos and lesbian action. In Vixens, the way it is organized is dancers sell tickets on the floor, which are $30 each. They need minimum of 8 people. The Dj announces when the show starts and the group walks to a door that says “Shower Show”, which located next to the bar. One needs to be careful about not missing the show – also can a mood killer. Dj talks so quick that you can easily miss the announcement. In our case, the start time of the show was 10:30pm, but it was 10:45 and nobody new when the show would start, one bouncer told us that it could have started already. We were afraid we were just got ripped-off. But the show did start late at 11pm, we still didn’t hear any announcement, we just waited by the door. The website says LARGE shower show, which was a joke. The room was very cramped and for 8 people, the chairs made for 3 rows. Not only did you pay to get in but you are pushed to tip non-stop during the whole duration of the show. You can easily go through $100 and fast. There is some girl on girl action, but they seemed very uninterested, detached and were just doing everything automatically. The show started with the bouncer threatening you with beating you up if you do anything inappropriate and the girls telling you everything you can’t do. It was a mood killer to start off with. I am sure some guys may find it hot but the girls had no chemistry what so ever and it was a major let down for what we were expecting or hoping for.
