I hadn't been to OTB in...

I hadn't been to OTB in a LOOOOOOONG time -- like a decade -- after a bad experience years ago. Made my first visit on a Friday evening a few weeks ago. I was reasonably impressed, but I probably won't rank it above my other favorites just yet.

The club still has basically the same setup I remembered, with one long "feature" stage, one smaller stage in front of a large, semi-circular bar, a VIP area on the left from the vantage point of someone who just came in and the private dance area on the right. The upholstery is nice, the chairs are very comfortable and there's lots of seating. The club holds a number of large events yearly that draw a regional crowd, so I can see why they need a lot of chairs. On this particular night, things were pretty slow.

There was a decent mix of dancers -- none that were knock-your-socks-off attractive, but also enough to keep your head turning. I had a long conversation with a very sweet girl that had red hair, but seemed to speak with an African-American tone. She was very, very smart, though, and made great conversation. I wish I could have gotten a dance with her, but ...
