Visited for the first time on...
Visited for the first time on a whim on Friday night on my way home from Huntington Village. Place looks small from the outside and would be easy to miss if not for the neon CAROUSEL sign on the outside. If you're coming from 110, it's on your right. Building looks small from the outside and parking was pretty cramped. However, I found a space and there was no cover, even late on a Friday night.
Inside, it looks bigger than it does from the outside. There's a big bar that takes up almost the whole space and the poles and stage are inside of the loop. I'm not a huge fan of this setup, as the girls walk around for tips often and it's tough to get a drink without also having to get harassed for a tip. It also means you can't sit at the bar and survey the lay of the land without spending much, because being at the bar also means being at the tip rail. I like a setup where the bar is away from the stage, so I can nurse a beer while I get comfortable with a place and not be shelling out lots of money right away. A Bud Light was $8, more than a Bud Light should ever ever be but normal for a LI club.
Girls were all thin and attractive, almost all young, and there were a lot working. There were generally two or three in the middle at a time, and maybe 20 to 25 walking around. Most seemed content to hang and out chat with guys for a while, though I was only approached by one girl in what was admittedly a short time spent there. She was Russian and tried to make small talk, but I could barely understand her and she knew very little English, so I found it frustrating and uninteresting. There did seem to be American girls too, so I guess press your luck.
