Spyce is located in downtown portland. I have been here multiple times but not on a weekday yet so my review applies to weekends only. There are a $5 cover to get in. There are two floors open with multiple stages; one two-girl and two single-girl stage downstairs and another one upstairs with a bar on each floor. Bars seemed to get usually get jammed pretty easily as there are not wide enough. The club neither looks upscale nor downscale, probably close to the former. Most drinks were $4-6, dances were $25 for regular lap dances and $250/half hour and $500 for an hour for "private" dances (which you pay to the cashier inside the dance area). Now there is no 3 for $100 option -that I am aware of- as in most clubs, and the $25-a-song dances are done in dance farms where you squeeze yourself in one of the crammed up multi-half booths that you face at least 3-4 others across you as you sit. This promotes the higher up options, a.k.a. champagne rooms for the prices mentioned above. But the problem with this is that those half/hour dances are also done in a communal small room that fits 3-4 couples. This is what drives down the value factor considerably IMO as you pay 250 for half hour and not even get a personal space for yourself and your girl. Otherwise, it is easy to find a girl that'd be rated 10 by many -even stringent- metrics and the quality of the dances are pretty good. Of course, YMMV but I have to admit that the best dance I ever got was in this club, probably because of a high degree of attention I received from a sweet 10/10. Nevertheless, I still don't recommend the private dances but if you like to sip your fave drink and have fun with friends -or not- in a quality atmosphere by spilling $1 bills on pretty girls and getting nice action and attention in return, this is your club.
