haven't stopped in for a year...

haven't stopped in for a year or two but was greeted by the same pot bellied bartender, who still has the decency to puff his cancer stick way in the back away from people who may prefer breathing. the cold and foot plus of white stuff undoubtedly depressed the meager crowd of six or seven, most of whom evinced much more interest in the snowmobiling on TV than the three perfectly passable dancers-a typical PP rotation of girls' next door...un-enhanced, unaffected, nice, personable, regular people. the intimate, local, been there forever vibe in this joint mitigates against anything phony or uppity. it's all as real as the three dollar chicken noodle soup and the small but nice array of local craft beer. this is the kind of place that almost doesn't exist anymore, but man are you glad it's there. the viewing is wonderful, but no one will ever touch or be touched here...unless it's by the sheer down home humanity of the place...pervs need not apply...there are other venues for them elsewhere...PP is strictly for the girl next door and noodle soup crowd..
