I've been stopping in at Maxim/Club X/Paper Tiger for several years now. It is continually changing, and for the better.

10 years ago, it seemed like the club started dying when the rubber factory adjacent to it closed - torn seats, dirty, smelly, just kinda awful; but 2 for 1 beer specials and no cover? Why not.

Then it became Club Maxim, or Maxim, or whatever. Some Russians bought it. I stopped back in, wow, a LOT better - much cleaner, a bit brighter, no duct tape on the seats, dancer quality got considerably better (there's still a VERY complete range, mind you, but their "average" has climbed from 2-3 to 5-6). Some of the Russian girls that wound up there are BEAUTIFUL. Super aggressive, too, though - you've been warned. Cultural differences, I suppose.
