When I first saw this place, the Boom Boom Room is a typical Portland dank, depressing dungeon, but I ended up liking it.

The place is in the basement of an old Chinese restaurant, with which it shares a parking lot. The first things you notice are the low ceiling, nearly non-existant lighting, and the mean-looking bouncer. The next thing you notice is the cute gal tending bar...a full bar. In a town peppered with juice bars, this was refreshing for me. Order a scotch, get your singles, sit down at the rail, and watch the show. Like most Portland clubs, the girls range from fantastic to mediocre, but what sets this place apart is the VIP section. Great private dances for twenty clams, up and away from the rest of the room. Darrien gives a mind-blowing lapdance. Best I have had this side of Vegas! I'll be back!
