It might be time to give...
It might be time to give the Den a rest, since LE doesn't seem in the mood to. The last couple times I've been, the grind hasn't been what it used to be, the stick shifting is way too few and far between and the bartender watches the "private" area like it's her job. And maybe it is her job, but these people are taking all the fun out of what until recently had been Cleveland's most contact friendly spot. Every time a dancer is in contact with a guy for 10 or 15 straight seconds, the flashing disco lights on the ceiling go off. No warning sirens installed yet, but I won't be surprised if it happens.
It's not all their fault. In fact, they probably hate it as much as anyone. But in the last month, they've been raided so often the cops ought to just open a mini-station next to the stage. So I get it. I'm just sorry I don't get what I used to get.
Without the good contact, this is just a below average bar with below average women. Taking my hobby money down the road for a while looks like the smart thing to do. It was good while it lasted, though. Maybe it will be good again someday.
