Been coming to the Bird since before the current faux-Roman decor (which is a lot nicer than the old "black-light" line drawings of dancers). Operation and talent level has been pretty consistent over time. Daytime admission is $15 for entry and drink, "bikini" dances (well, it's usually on to SOME extent) are $10, with 4-song and 6-song VIP areas that have varied in price (currently $100 and $150, I believe; ask around because I think they sometimes vary by girl/ROB). Mileage is high for the OC, and can reach COI levels. Drink push is as annoying as reputed, but just say no (again and again...) and tip the dancer instead.

Daytime dancer talent is mid-level: a 7+ or two, a couple 5-'s and the rest in between. Mostly latina, a scattering of the rest. Many dancers have been there several years, but the vets are where the mileage is. Good performers include Alex, Gia, Diana, Channel, newcomer Star, and the attitude-over-looks Lisa; but most everyone knows the game so pick your poison. Stage performances can be widely-spaced and dancer circulation can be slow, so do your names research and "speed date" until the right one comes along.

An odd thing is the somewhat standard dancer rap (to a non-cop custy with obvious intent, at least). If you sit off the stage, they'll slide up and within a few moments have their hand on your crotch. Then (after the waitress bugs you to buy the lady a drink, of course) you'll cover expectations, options and prices. Omitting this step and hoping for the best can be risky; these dancers are vets and know how to milk a shy newby (and how to "milk" the rest). Then it's off to the lapping zone (after another assault by the waitress).

Overall, the place is a little "ghetto" and dirty, but it's a real strip bar -- no "gentlemen's club," and fine with that. As am I.
