I'm a traveling dancer and have been pleasantly surprised with the find in Rick's. By far the best (and safest) club on Bourbon in my opinion. I thought I would give you guys some tips from an inside view.

First of all, if you want to actually see who is dancing for you - I would choose to come to this club as a patron. The two stages downstairs are very well lit and give you a good opportunity to see the talent. Secondly, the club takes a large percentage of the inclusive VIP private room fees ($550/half hr - $950/hr) so paying the "club's fee" (which is somewhere around $100) with your card and offering the dancer cash will save you a little impact on your wallet. Don't waste time with the dances on the floor for $20. They are mandated to be all air, and if you are lucky enough to get a girl willing to break the rules (or unaware of them) you will be quickly reprimanded by management, and then watched the whole time. Also, it's a little creepy to have every guy in the joint watching the dance you just paid for. Opting for the more pricey $60 dances in the back may seem painful at first, however, the dance area is unusually private and most dancers allow full touching and grinding, sometimes more depending on the dancer. Couples are also allowed to come back together for full contact. Sitting by the sea of chairs between the first stage and the main bar will get you the most dancer traffic. Also a little known fact, the club will stay open if you opt for the VIP rooms upstairs close to or at the end of the night for a small tip to mgmt ($40).
