Found myself in the Manville area a few days before New Year's and decided to see what was happening at Delilah's. Was pleased to see that they were still offering the free admission promotion (Mon-Thur), otherwise I wouldn't have paid the $12 to enter. Sat down and ordered a bottled water (no alcohol served here). Watched the stage show for a while, but the dancers really seemed bored and uninterested. Had a nice chat with a dancer named Michelle, but did not take her up on her dance offer (FYI, although I wasn't looking for them, she made it clear that no extras were provided by her).

As with my past visits, the vibe of this place just didn't work for me. I get the sense that none of the dancers really want to be there.

As my boredom grew, I began noticing some of the decor of the place. The faux leopard-skin chairs are shit, and it seems all of them are being held together by tape, especially on the arms where they're completely worn down. Makes the place look tacky. Another observation was the seven 1990's-era TV's hanging on the walls, of which only 5 worked and only 2 gave a halfway decent picture. C'mon, even the crappy dive bars in the area have all upgraded to flat screen TVs! The Delilah's chain likes to think of their clubs as upper echelon gentlemen's clubs, but DD Manville is a very poor example of how one should be run.
