I've made two visits to Sahara...

I've made two visits to Sahara Theatre and both were fairly gratifying. The club sits in a small strip mall that is fairly unasuming. Once inside the place is fairly dark and relatively small as far as most clubs being built these days. In fact, this is probably the smallest club I've seen in a long time, but it's cozy. The stage is right smack in the middle with floor and raised seating to your immediate right and left when you walk in. The private dance area is along the far wall in a bench type setting. It's not very private or personal, but the bench allows for the girls to be a bit more flexible with their act.

The dances are pretty straight forward at only $15 a dance during the day (I'm not sure if pricing is different at night), but the timing of the dances is totally lame, lasting only a couple of minutes max. Longer songs are cut in half and counted as 2 songs. That is one of two major complaints about this place. The other is the constant harrasment by the waitresses to get you to buy drinks. There can be two girls waiting tables at once and they will double team you. The second a dancer sits down next to you, she will ask you to buy a drink for the lady. If you're doing private dances, she will wait for you to take a break and hit you up again, even if both of you have full drinks in front of you.

The most redeeming quality about this club is the women. They're not the hottest on the planet, but they like to please. I danced with Nikki the first time I went and she made good use of my baggy shorts. The only problem with Nikki is that she likes to have her own conversation, usually at the speed of sound. My guess would be a little too much "powerdering" of the nose, but I won't speculate too much.
