I made a recent visit to The Penthouse Club to check out the newest club in town. I wasn't real crazy about the location of this place, not the nicest of neighborhoods IMO, that alone may detract some from business. I also found this place a bit confusing to find, their ad said it's off of I-17 and McDowell on the Black Canyon Freeway, well the Black Canyon Freeway runs northbound along the east side of I-17 and southbound along the west side of I-17, you cant get there going northbound from McDowell, you have to go up to Thomas Rd, then head southbound. Anyhow, once I got there I found plenty of parking available, they have a nice big well lit lot. New Times had an ad in it offering Free Cover so I took that with me, otherwise it would have been $10 (it was a Friday night, I'm not sure what it would have been early/mid week). The club itself was very impressive, great layout, lots of seating, three stages, plasma TV's throughout, reasonable drink prices, a separate VIP section, it really is one of the nicest clubs in town IMO. A strip club is only as good as it's dancers though, on the night I visited there were maybe 15 girls working, I'd rate most of them in the 6-7 range, nothing spectacular, luckily I was able to get a couple dances from the one real HOT girl at the club, her name was Victoria, she's a solid 9 on my scale, long brunette hair, toned, tanned, natural body, her dances were excellent (for Phoenix anyways) a little more personality wouldn't have hurt though. I had more money to spend but left with most of it as no other dancers really did much for me. Overall, this is a beautiful club with lots of potential, it's not quite there just yet though.
