This club had been one of...
This club had been one of my favorites when visiting Western NY. After about a two year absence, I stopped in a couple of weeks ago to see what effect the bust had had on what I remembered.
The surrounding area hasn't changed much since I was last there. The airport is still down the road, and the intersection near which the club sits is still a reasonably busy and prosperous one, with gas stations, restaurants, and all manner of small business. It's well lit, and even when leaving at 2 or 3 in the morning, I never felt like I was in danger.
The inside layout is the same, with the bar up front, a smallish stage and DJ booth to the rear, and the "private" rooms behind the bar. At the moment, they are a juice bar, which allows them to be nude. However, the new owner is going to change the name to Tiffany's Cabaret Airport, or something like that, and is hoping to get a new liquor license within the next couple of months, which will require them to use pasties again. The outside of the club still says "Rick's Tally Ho", but they are answering the phone with the new name, and the DJ was referring to the club as Tiffany's while I was there, so I suspect it won't be long before the change becomes official.
