I was on my way back...

I was on my way back south a couple of weeks ago, and stopped in to this club to check it out after reading some of the previous reviews. The club ostensibly opens at 8 on Thursdays, so I showed up about 8:30. Well, it was open all right, but nary a naked woman was to be seen. I bought a $2 can of name brand pop (which, after $3 glasses of generic diet coke ain't really all that bad) and sat down to see what, if anything developed.

The club itself is set as one big room, with the bar occupying half of two walls and a corner. The DJ "booth" was a table with a computer along side the entrance, and the doorman appear to be the DJ. As it developed, he was a very circumspect DJ, not exhorting anyone to tip dancers or yelling for girls to get to the stage, pretty much restricting himself to announcing who was on stage and who was on deck. A nice change. In addition, he played decent music, rock and metal, at least while I was there.

The stage is no like any I've ever seen before, more like a pit, but at floor level, not below. It was an area of the floor with two poles, about 15 feet apart, surrounded by walls, at which there were chairs at which patrons could sit and tip. It had the effect of obscuring the girls' show, at least partially, unless one came up to tip. An interesting and effective technique.
