I was stuck in the Portage...

I was stuck in the Portage area over a weekend on business so I decided to stop in at Paradise City. I had low expectations but came away very surprised. I arrived around 7:15 on a Saturday night and wasn't charged a cover, they started charging around about 30 minutes later - $7. I believe they now open at 4 or 5:00 but the dancers don't seem to start until 7:00. Drinks were reasonable - pints of Guiness were $4 and sodas were $2. About 12 girls were there when I arrived and more showed up over the next hour. The girls were a wide range of ages and sizes and while they weren't all knockouts none were of the "you have no business doing this for a living" variety either. LD's were $20 in a booth with no door. The bouncer never came down the hall and the songs were full length. Mileage was very high and the girls took everything off in the booths, something not all of them did on stage. Their VIP rooms are upstairs and are mostly private, their isn't a door on them but you have to come up the stairs to see into them. It's $100 for 30 minutes and you and the dancer each get a drink included. Beware though, there are cameras in the VIP's (but not, as far as I could tell, in the LD booths). A bouncer came up and told me to watch my hands. My dancer was very embarrassed and apologized over and over saying the bouncers usually don't watch the monitor. I asked if I should have tipped them but she said that would just make them more suspicious. Later I talked to a few regulars and they said that the bouncers seem to only occassionally watch the cameras but on other days they are very vigilant. I ended up having a great time and would stop in again.
