8:30 pm. A quick swing past Sam's Hofbrau. Easy to find wth SatNav. There is secure valet parking here $5 and also a fair amount of street parking although the place seemed to be jumping and there weren't so many free places outside.

Once inside (no entry charge) you see a very big well-lit room with a bar along one long side with stools and mostly tables with chairs at the end and I think maybe some booths. There is a big stage in the middle and a girl or two may have been dancing but they seemed pretty much fully clothed and anyway nobody was paying any attention. The place was very full and very noisy. Quite a few girls, mostly chatting to their regulars by the look of it. I didn’t stay but the place is certainly popular.
