5 years ago I lived in St. Pete and had driven by Mermaids many a times, but never visited. I was just back for a week vacation last week, so I decided to stop in. I dropped in around 8PM and there was a good selection of girls. This is a Bikini bar, laws in Florida are very city specific. Some allow full nude, others topless, I guess St. Pete Beach is Bikini. So the girls on stage are fully cloths, always, either in lingerie or bikinis. The club is clean, the music isn't too loud. Though I would not give the girls a great rating for stage dancing, most of them would rather hustle for a private dance then be on stage, but the DJ calls them for their rounds. They are very friendly girls though and the will sit and chat with you for a quite a while. They allow smoking in the club so that was a plus.

I had been eying the 5'6" (ish) brunette, (straight hair) with a very tight body and I would say size D fake boob, for a while when she finally came by for a chat. She was very friendly and we chatted for about 20 minutes, before I decided to go for a VIP 30min dance for $140. This was a great decision. She took her top off as she gave her private dance, which was very enjoyable. Once she got comfortable, touching allowed. It certainly felt like atleast 30 minutes, as much as I would have liked it to last longer.

There were quite a few other variety of girls in the club, blond, Asian, African American all cute for the most part. I would definitely go back again. I don't know what the late night is like, as I was out of there a little after 10pm, but I would definitely return, probably early again, to beat the crowd and get more personal attention.
