I make the rounds of clubs every time I'm in SF and MBOT seems to get worse while other area clubs stay pretty much the same. It used to be known for high-mileage, anything goes in the VIP area and above average talent, it's since become anything but. Dancers are for the most part lifeless and unattractive. When they do approach you, they first sell you on a $45 topless couch dance, rarely arousing. Plus they have this stupid $15 chip system which you have to buy when entering. While that's going on she's tell you about the special rooms and the private VIP chambers. Looking for extras? Sure, they're available, but having to go through the process of meeting, couch dance and negotiations will empty your wallet before long. Do your research before going in (myredbook.com for starters). Talk to a girl standing by the stage or in one of the special showrooms, not a couch dance. Negotiate, haggle, be detailed but not weird. Remember the VIP booths have a built-in rental fee ($20 for 5 minutes) so take that into account.

Be aware that even $100 doesn't buy you much. Be prepared with 2x or 3x for any wish fulfillment. These girls charge more than escorts but the sessions are shorter and much less comfortable. The only real advantage is you can see the merchandise before you buy. You really get the feeling from being in the club for a while that these dancers are really working for themselves, not for the club. Prices, attitudes, services and availability can vary wildly from girl to girl.

As for the club, it's kind of dingy, been a few decades since they've made any changes to the decor. The day staff is generally friendly and hands-off. The DJ is annoying but that's only in the New York room. No alcohol, no food. Generally pretty seedy but you probably know that going in. If you're looking for a more traditional strip club experience, Crazy Horse is a better choice. This place is definitely a hit-or-miss proposition, mostly miss.
