My wife and I went to the Gold Club on Saturday night after the Texas/OU game. We had been before, about two years ago, and we weren't all that impressed on our last visit. We decided to give it another try after being pretty disappointed with a visit to the Fare Room at Cabaret Royale.

The club itself is medium-sized, but the space is not organized very well. Essentially, it's a large, roughly square-shaped room with a main stage up front, two smaller stages in the back, and two stage along one wall. The "bar" is against the other wall, which is also . It's BYOB, so the "bar" just provides ice and mixers.

Because of the layout, the bulk of the club is a large open area that is crammed with tablesa and chairs. We sat in that area last time, and it's not ideal. It doesn't offer a good view of any of the stages, and it made us feel clausterphobic.
