Reviews on this place are pretty accurate. Private dances are $20. There was a man walking around selling the private dance vouchers, and he told me they were two-for-one. However, when the dancer and I went to redeem them, I was told that I only paid for one. Well, since I only did one private dance, I can't really talk about the value. They also talked me into a VIP. Basically it's $80-ish (they have some funny addons). The dancer gets 10 drinks, but your drinks are extra. Probably could be good value, but the staff seems to try to keep it free of extras I think. However, if that's what you're looking for, just ask the girl to go to the hotel next door.

A few comments on travel... If you don't have a car, take the blue line trolley from San Diege to San Ysidro for $5. This is much better than a $60 cab. This way you can stay in San Diege, or, if you choose, there are cheap hotels in this (somewhat shady) area. Also, a passport is "required". However, if you don't have one, they will let you in after quite a few security questions (What were you doing? Where do you work? Where do you live? What is your birth date? What is your mother's name?). If they are busy, you could wait awhile. Then again, I'm pretty clearly an american on sight, so they might make it harder if they aren't sure about you. Anyway, a passport solves all of the problems. If you're worried about getting passport stolen, there are card versions (looks a lot like a driver's license) available. Easier to carry inconspicuously, but probably just as annoying to lose.
