If you’re out in the middle...

If you’re out in the middle of effing nowhere east of Phoenix and you want a drink and a lap dance, Desert Flame is the place for you. Even though it isn’t near anywhere or anything other than Falcon Field, DF has been in its present location for many years, so it must work.

The Flame is a medium-sized place, set up in three wings. To the left is the VIP area, reasonably secluded and quieter than the main room. Middle is a plain old bar. To the right is the main club.

The main area is a rectangular room with a low ceiling that should give it an intimate feel, but instead gives it ear-splitting volume for its rock-heavy playlist. The walls are mirrored, one corner has an electric flame sculpture thing. The stage is a curious rectangular pit centered on one wall. The stage floor and pole are a foot deep under some wide, padded rails that the ladies dance on. Afternoon drink special was 2 for 1 domestic drafts for $5. Drink prices in general are reasonable, as this club is more for locals than travelers.
