I was here a couple of months ago and it was great. I went back a couple of weeks ago and it was horrible. Since I had been last, they added a small room on the front complete with door troll. He takes the now mandatory $5 cover. It was fun to see the regulars head straight for the bar only to be chased down by him to get the $5. They usually had a stunned look on their face and may not have had enough money for the beer they wanted. The dances were flat out lame. I got better contact down the road at the Living Room which is owned by the same guy. One new dancer asked for the dance money up front. I told her no one else ever did that there and was ready to walk out. She apologized and said the manager told her to do that. She was reasonably cute but the dance was nothing special. In their infinite wisdom, the management has managed to kill the only two things this dive had going for it. No cover and some of the hottest dances in town. I'm not going to take a $5 gamble on the cover only to find lame dances.
