Based on helpful reviews here, I decided to check out Cheetahs first when in SD last week... Wasn't interested in hiking to TJ on my own.

Compared to some of the options, this seemed to be as about the highest-end of the San Diego clubs. Free parking, well-lit lot in a nice suburban neighborhood on a busy street. $18 at the door your first time; then $8 on additional visits, but you have to carry the card around. You get two little drink tickets (almost like door prizes) for water or soda.

Small place. A few TVs, pool table, one stage in front, one in back. Even by 10 o'clock it wasn't busy enough to warrant the back stage in use.
