Visited the Pink Poodle on a Friday night, arriving a little before 9. Cover was $20. The club is small, with rows of chairs down both sides of a long stage. Decent number of girls working; quite a spread in terms of looks. Girls do just one song on the stage, stripping to fully nude. There's a pole, but the ceiling is pretty low, so not that much in the way of pole work. No alcohol; a fun-free Coors was $3.

Two different options for private dances - laps and shower. The laps are $40 per, and use a token system so there doesn't seem to be the opportunity for bulk discounts. They are contact dances, girl in your lap with a decent grind etc. Still not quite up to Toronto standards, but better than the total air you get in most other clubs in the valley.

Shower show is $50, supposedly for 10 minutes. First time with a shower show for me, so wasn't quite sure what to expect. There's a curtained-off area where the show happens; quite a large area, with enough room for 3 guys to sit (well, actually more like room for 5 guys to sit, but just 3 stools). You sit outside of a tiled area with a short tiled wall separating the shower from the rest of the floor. The signs on the wall remind you that there is to be no contact between you and the dancer; however, I was informed by the girl I took back there that tipping will relax these rules. For a decent sized tip, you can help the girl get clean and, after she dries off, give her a helping hand with her lotion. Quite good fun.
