With no cover charge during the day, and moderately priced lunches, TD's North is at its best in the afternoons or for a relaxed and enjoyable lunch. It is probably the best club in Albuquerque, and you can have a great time there, but it is a notch below the best clubs in the country. The club is well kept up, is fairly dark, and has lots of nooks and crannies on the main floor for secluded dances. The help is friendly and are low pressure. As in all Albuquerque establishments that serve the public, smoking is not allowed and must be done outdoors. Expect to be frisked at the front door, but it is by and large a safe place in a safe neighborhood. Drinks are on the high end of moderately priced.

There are two stages, a large one towards he back, with at least one dancer and a smaller one on the side. Tipping is at the stage, and depending on the dancer, you may or may not get up close treatment, although it is good form to tip all the dancers. When the club gets busy, the dancers rotate from the large stage to the small stage, and when it gets really busy, they have two dancers on the main stage. There are padded benches along the walls, which are the best places for dances. The chairs at the tables have casters, not a good idea.

On the main floor dances are $10, and with the right dancer are a good value, Dances in the VIP room are $25 and $25 to enter the VIP room, although the charge for entering is usually waived during the day or slow times. Whether or not the dances in the VIP room are better than those on the floor depends on the dancer, but the usual rules apply, ask what to expect before you go, and usually poor dancers on the floor don't get better in the VIP room.
