I was passing through Wisconsin last week and I decided to spend the night in Beloit and check out Diamond Jim's(after all it had an 8+ rating). Being a Tuesday night I really didn't expect a large crowd or a lot(ten or more)of dancers. I went to the bar for a Sam Adams($5) and took a seat slightly off the stage. There was an African American on the stage a little heavier than I prefer. The next dancer was a small young girl with perky tits. I went to the stage and tipped her a couple of times during both of her dances. When she was finished she left to stage and went over to a booth to be with a guy who had just arrived. There were three other dancers, one with a lot of tatoos(15 or more), another who was fairly attractive but seemed to have an attitude "like I really don't want to be here," and another who had a pretty good attitude who had her nipples pierced. During this entire time I stayed seated at the stage and I was one of only 2 or 3 people who tipped the dancers. Each time the girl left the stage they would go and sit with they guy they were with before. The guys that they were sitting with weren't tipping them or buying lap dances. In fact there was not one lap dance sold while I was there (over and hour). I got the feeling that they were sitting with their boyfriends. I was sitting there with a roll of cash and no one seemed to want any of it. I was never asked or given the opportunity to buy a dance. You'd think that a dancer would check with the guys who tipped her during her dances to see if they want to go to the VIP area. And the thing is most of the dancers seemed put out by the lack of clients tipping. Lap dances were $10 but not one of them seemed like they wanted my money. All of them just sat down with their personal friends until it was their turn on the stage again. If I ran a club that would be the #1 rule. No boyfriends and you check with the patrons (especially those that are tipping)to see if they would like a dance.
