This was my first visit to Lanie's. I tried to stop about a year ago, but it was a Thursday night and they had closed down early. This time I stopped in about 9 on a Saturday night.

It is basically a small town bar with a stage. You walk in the front door and there is a lattice partition to the left. This is to shield the stage from the street. The bar is on the right and the stage is to the left in the room. There is a small seating area across from the bar, beside the stage, and another beside the bar and across from the stage.

I wasn't charged a cover charge and the beer was cheap. It is pheasant hunting season in South Dakota, which is a busy time for the clubs. But it wasn't really busy that night. There was a decent crowd, but the place never got packed. Probably had about 20-25 people most of the time in the club. The crowd seemed to rotate in and out with the other club in town.
