Was intrigued by the reviews of amateur night so decided to check it out since it is fairly nearby. Started out at a pub around the corner for the Phillies playoff game (Halladay's no hitter) over dinner and then off to the club. I'll dispense with club description which is accurately provided below. Place was fairly empty when I arrived just before 8, but no cover. Sat at the bar, chatting up a real cute tender. Dancers looked fairly hot, only one approached me for a dance which I declined. Didn't see anyone going back for laps. Club started to get crowded around 9:30, packed by 10:30 which was when the show started. Crowd had lots of coed type girls in it, many of them in rowdy parties. Much more of a nightclub feel by this time. First amateur out was a wasted 40-something year old who could barely stand, let alone walk, in her heels. The successive amateurs, and I think most of them really were, were fairly hot young girls competing for the grand prize and tips after their show. Didn't stick for the last round as I had to go, but the club was great fun. Will need to check it out on a regular night.
