I went to this club at...

I went to this club at lunch time on a Wednesday. Based upon the high ratings some others have given this club I was expecting better. They must have experienced something I missed when I was there.

First of all the place was smokey inside. The chairs on the lower level were uncomfortable as one of the other reviews noted. The dancers ranged in beauty from 4 to 7. (In my book, 5 is just an average girl you wouldn't take a second look at if you saw her walking down the street in ordinary clothes.) They danced onstage (and privately) wearing a g-string. Butt-grinding on the lap seemed to be the main move. That would be considered sexy if a perfect stranger walked up to you and did that on the bus, but in a strip club it is pretty much a starting point only. I realize that there are cities around the US that don't even allow that much. (Those I would rank at 4 or lower.)

The dances I bought and those I observed others get were uninspired. They consisted of 1) wave the titties before your eyes and then 2) turn around and wiggle the butt on your lap, 3) repeat 1 and 2 until the song ends. I didn't see any variance amongst the girls. They all pretty much followed the same script. One of the girls told me that this place gets really wild on Friday and Saturday nights. She admitted that she doesn't work nights so I wondered how she knew, and wondered what she considered "wild." What I saw at lunch was a long way from wild. One of the girls told me that things get sexier on the upper level. I tried that too but didn't see any difference. Maybe with a different crew on a different day, things get better. For my money, I will try some other Austin clubs before I go back here. It isn't a bad place, but I can't see it rating any higher than a 6.
