I was looking for a strip club in Lisbon, and this place turned up on an Internet search. Unfortunately, there is no strip show here. It is a nice club with a dance floor, but no one was dancing. I quickly realized that the hot women in cocktail dresses, although not strippers, were available for take out.

Organized prostitution is illegal in Portugal, but I believe freelancers are legal. They do have brothels there, but they are underground. Most prostitution is in the form of call girls advertising in the local papers. Pretty tough to call if you don't speak Portugese though. This club is operating in the open, and I would assume is legal, since they are not directly involved in what the girls are selling.

In the club, with my blonde hair and blue eyes, I was immediatly pegged as a foreigner, and the girls initially ignored me. I think this was because they correctly assumed that I don't speak Portugese. This can make negotiations difficult, and I think most girls just prefer to be able to converse with a potential client.

Eventually, a pretty 32-year old Brazilian approached, and we attempted a conversation in a mixture of my very broken Spanish and Portugese, and her very broken English. I bought her a drink for 30 Euros (my beers were 8 Euros each), and she explained how the club works. There are no rooms on site - you have to take the girl(s) back to your place. She put her hand on my crotch and said in English, "I fuck you good!" The initial offer was 200 Euros, then 180 Euros. She was nice, but I was low on cash, and this was really more than I wanted to spend for sex. I said goodnight and headed back to my hotel alone. If I get back to Lisbon, I think I will check our Passerelle - I heard it's a real strip club.
