The Sands has a stage show! Let me rephrase that: during my last two visits, there were actual dancers on the actual stage actually dancing. Nothing to write home about there, but for those who believe strip clubs should feature some, you know, stripping, this might be a plus for you.

For me, the Sands is and always will be about the one-on-one dances, and it's here that they are still ahead of any of the other local clubs. The VIP room feels lush and private, and with the right dancer the experience can be both satisfying and price-appropriate. For longtime Sands clients, be wary of the newbie dancers -- cute and nice, yes, but so far lacking the total package of the veteran performers.

One more note: according to signs the Sands is now open on Sundays at noon, offering free cover and no drink charge until 2pm.
