I recently visited The Spot; it was my second visit, but was not as satisfactory as my first a couple of months earlier. On my first visit, there were only about four dancers and only about as many customers. This is a fairly ideal ratio. On my second, the little bar was fairly packed with customers (about 15) and there were about a half dozen dancers.
The Spot is a small facility, consisting of only one room (aside from restrooms), which is dominated by the bar. Seating is pretty much limited to stools located around the latter, though there are a few stools located elsewhere in the room. There is no VIP-type room available for private dances.
On both visits, the dancers were friendly, generally attractive and appeared to be in their twenties and thirties. On my first visit, the dancers seemed to be a little less inhibited than on my second. Apparently, this had to do with who was behind the bar. On my first visit, the bartender was a young lady appearing to be in her twenties. On my second, the bar was tended by a pudgy,middle-aged woman (apparently the owner and/or manager)and a man appearing to be in his late thirties (the bouncer?). I was surprised by an incident involving the latter two. The guy next to me was appearing to enjoy a dance by a lady who placed his hands on parts of her body. When the pudgy woman noticed, she nastily yelled at the man to keep his hands off "her girls." The dancer was not deterred by this tirade and continued to navigate the guy's hands. This,in turn, brought a rough yell from the apparent bouncer. The customer left soon after.
