Alex’s is a club that will require more than one visit to figure it out.

First, take what you see on their web site with more than one grain of salt. I was there on a quiet Saturday afternoon, but a number of items on the website, such as “dollar dances” never appeared, even though I stuck around for three to four hours. And as others previous reviews have made clear, the club layout is at best awkward.

I was a bit surprised by the modest cover charge for mid-afternoon. The free entry only lasts for a few hours after opening.
