Le Pigale is a club located in Gatineau, Quebec so if you're staying in Ottawa you will need to take a cab, as the public transit is confusing/closes early. It is a large club and you can't really miss it. Cabbies know the location well. Clean exterior, well lit, lots of people smoking outside and seems to be quite safe. Bouncers are friendly as long as you look presentable and act nicely, they also seem to keep out a lot of trouble makers. Remember, though, it is still a strip club, so don't try to bully people around. Entrance age is officially over 21, but if you're clean, dressed decently, and polite you shouldn't have a problem getting in as an under 21.

Upon entering you have to pay a cover downstairs at the coat check, no more than 5 dollars, I think. Interior is dark, but clean. Drinks are expensive as per usual in a strip club: 6.50ish for a beer to 7.00 plus for liquor (not including tip). On busier nights if you're in a group you may have a problem finding a seat/table together. Music was interesting, not overly loud either. Interesting decor and it is a very large club with two stages, but I'm not sure one spends a lot of time admiring the decor.

Dancers are attractive and friendly with a good mix of different types. My friend and I didn't actually get approached by any, but we did show up after one thirty, so that may be why. Occasionally you will see a few girls just standing and talking to each other. They didn't look happy/friendly, so I ignored them. Dances are 20 CAD, full contact except the groin. Most dancers are enthusiastic in the private room, but one should remember that the first dance is always tame. If you go in, tell the girl you plan on having more than one dance and the first dance will be more exciting. The private dance area is very private, mileage is good. I believe the songs are the same as the ones up stairs. Always count your songs and confirm each one with the girl, as they may "forget" how many they have given you.
