I went to the Bare Back Saloon on a Saturday night at 21:00. There was a $5 cover charge. The door girl stamps your hand with invisible ink, which allows you to leave and come back. Ice cold Sincweisers were $4. Looking from the entrance towards the back of the room, the private dance room is in the front left corner with a wooden grizzly bear statue guarding the entrance. The back left of the room is the bar. The back right of the room has two pool tables and the restrooms are beyond them down a hallway. The stage is a long runway that comes off the right wall and extends more than halfway across the room. There are two pole positions. The front right of the room has an elevated VIP viewing area with couches and a private VIP room. A small island stage about four feet off the ground is near the entrance and only used when a dancer volunteers to do extra dancing. It is surrounded by a railing, but does not have a pole. There are two ATMs inside: one on the front wall and one on the back wall. The ATMs charge a $5 fee per transaction and only limit a maximum of $200 to be withdrawn per transaction.
There were about twenty dancers working on a busy Saturday night. Almost all of the dancers are Caucasian. Talent was above average and better than I was expecting for southwest Wyoming. There were plenty of 7’s and 8’s, but also a dud or two. Some of the dancers come from Utah to dance here because the strip clubs in the Beehive State are lame. Stage shows were generally energetic, but contact was not as plentiful as I would’ve liked. I mostly end up tossing dollars on stage or tucking them into g-strings. Dancers strip down to topless. On the weekends, two dancers perform on the stage at a time. If the two entertainers have good chemistry, sometimes they simulate lesbian sex.

Lap dances take place in a communal room with couches only separated by minimal dividers. The community room is only partially out of eyesight from the rest of the club because the doorways are wide open. I was initially quoted $40 per song or three songs for $100. I never paid those rates. You can get lap dances down to at least $30 or $25 each. I was able to negotiate one dancer down to $20 per song when I bought a long string of private dances. Contact is two-way; patrons can touch anywhere except around the pussy. Unfortunately, privacy is nonexistent. You can see other dancers and patrons nearby, and a bouncer will do a quick walk through of the lap dance area once per song. The private VIP room has half hour and hour options that include drinks. I think the half hour was $350.
The club gets packed after 20:00 on weekends. Most of the clientele are oil and gas workers, railroad employees, and ranchers. The washroom can be a little awkward because you piss in a trough of ice. There is no kitchen, but the door girl sells snacks like candy bars and bags of chips. The bartenders can also make you a bar pizza. There is a Mexican restaurant right across the street, but they close at 21:00. Bare Back Saloon is the better of the two strip clubs in Rock Springs, and it is not even close. Bare Back Saloon has more and better-looking dancers than the Astro Lounge. I will return next time I am in the Cowboy State.
