It's been a couple of years...

It's been a couple of years since I was in here. Ownership has changed, and so has the layout and the look. The pool table is over by the bathroom, and the stage has moved to the center of the floor. There are some large sofa-like things at the back of the room, and some booths around the perimeter. The rest of the seating is the same old banquet hall chairs from before. Lots of new lighting, paint, and other decoration. Overall the place looks much spiffier inside now. Unfortunately the talent hasn't kept pace, and the old attitudes are the same. The girls do two songs on the big stage, then immediately retreat to the corner booth to hang out with their regulars. They announce frequent two-for-one dance specials, and still the girls just sit in the corner booth. What is up with that? I sat through three consecutive 2-for-1's and wasn't approached once, and didn't see anyone else going in the back for dances either. The staff looks bored, and the dancers on stage don't do a lot to generate excitement. It's still a cheaper alternative to Paper Moon, although the prices have gone up since the remodel. But really, what's the point. There are plenty of nicer places to just sit and drink a beer.
