Penthouse thinks they are fancier than they really are.
I went Sunday evening after a Bucs game and was very underwhelmed with the environment. They had just finished revamping the facade and entrance of the club, and everything looks nice. The space works on the inside and they have two bars. The only thing that bothered me was the club manager were asking for $20 tip for a table. I have never in my life paid for a table. If you didn’t sit at the bar, they expected a $20 to four a table. Even though there were plenty of empty tables, when we entered they said there’s plenty of seats at the bar but that they could “hook us up” with a table. It wasn’t until we were escorted to a table, ordered a drink, and sat there for about 5-7 minutes when another manager approached us and asked us if we tipped the dude that got us this table, as if it was customary. We said no and felt obligated to pay the $20 which we did. It’s not about the $20 for me, it’s more the price gouging. Trying to squeeze every dollar out of us. I felt like I was at a night club trying to score a vip table. They were half full at the time and only has about 4 girls. Nothing impressive to be charging for tables. That was just bothersome for me. What’s next? Do we have to start tipping $5 for every chair? $10 for the urinal?
The few girls that they had were pretty hot but I felt that they could have been more prepared for a post football game event.
