The Ol' Dollar
Went to the Ol' Dollar on 8/20/2020. I’ve always enjoyed this place. One the days I’ve visited the women have always been friendly. Sometimes there’s a DJ but most of the time, the dancers choose their own music. As in any establishment of this type, it is very easy to strike up a conversation with a dancer. And I typically tip the dancer at the stage, even when I’m not sitting at the stage and if she is someone that I find interesting.
Everything you want in a strip club is there. When I say this, I mean in terms of atmosphere. You don’t have to feel like you are going to get hustled, the ladies are attractive, the music is not blasting and you can have a conversation and as long as you have your wits about you you'll be taken care of. I was there around 3:00 or 4:00 pm, late afternoon. There were more ladies there during this time of day than on other days I've been there in the past. Could be it for a Thursday, but only my guess.
The place has 3 stages. During the time I was there, only main stage in the center was getting used. One of them is a shower stage, but I've never seen it used during a performance. Would like to see that happen though. Being the home improvement type, I wonder if there is any calking that needs to be done on that shower surround.
Plenty of video poker machines to play. The private dance area has a neon sign that says, VIP Room. Semi Private and have had dances back there before. Not sure how much the private dances are now. In the past I've had the standard 3 min dance for $30.00. Sometimes it's $20.00 depending on how you treat the lady.
However, I do have one complaint. Prices of the drinks are more than you will find at a typical bar. That goes for beer and well drinks. $6.50 for a draft craft beer and $8.75 for a well drink! I know it is not a typical bar. It is loaded with sexy dancers on a stage and walking around half naked. Doesn’t seem reasonable when a customer is also paying for dances and also a dancers drink.
