You have stupid American men who do have money but throw it around like Rap stars, and this is Mexico. As with all things...10 years ago...everything was half of what it is today. The girls at Gau Gau's and the other 3 clubs here are fair to stunning. They don't hire fatties because of the Americans, and know they won't come to the clubs because of that. Don't get me wrong either, the clubs are worth visiting but don't expect a lot, or if you want a lot...expect to pay. I pretty much live in Penasco most of the time and so I know the local scene fairly good. I take one drive down Calle 14 and 13 and the local pimp (wannabes) and the drug dealers (I don't do drugs) see me and they bring me the newest freshest young girls hungry for money but don't want to work the clubs. There are some better girls at the Machanitas (cartel run speak easy casinos) that you can get. Penasco is pretty safe. There are a lot of junkies and druggies at night around Calle 13 / 14, but they don't really bother you. A lot of the street girls hang out both places. I've seen many of them, some you don't want to go near...as they're catching....lol....but you can get a piece for 500 pesos easy. I usually pay 1000 pesos and the girls stay, because they know me. Some even overnight, as they like the A/C in summer and/or heat during the winter months. Sometimes it's good to spend more time in one spot.
