This is a great review of this place and I go periodically, mostly to eat lunch. Lunch is only available until 2 pm and most nights of the week from around 6 until 10 pm. They do have a full menu and if you desire to eat, ask for a menu. Also on Fridays from open until 2 pm, they have a buffet available for around $12 or $13 including drink.
As far as the dancers, there are a lot of younger dancers that are college age (Lawrence has two four-year universities, after all), yet some of the dancers, especially during the day, are well over 30 and some commute from the Missouri side of KC (I've gotten to know a few, as well as management and service staff). Also, they don't pressure you for dances (they will take no for an answer) and some will request for you to buy a drink, though they do buy their own drinks from time to time. I have rarely had a problem with the dancers there regardless of their tenure. Granted I don't always buy dances, it is always a treat when I do.
